Since we are in a country where no social system exists to take care of people getting sick, and in order to help many of them who are poor and do not have the financial means to go to the doctors or hospitals, the Association decided to open two dispensaries. One in Riyaq (Beqaa) since hospitals in that area are few and far between. This dispensary is the old family house of Rev. Father Joseph Hallit where he was raised up. Father Joseph decided to fix and renovate this old house after the death of his parents to make it habitable and serviceable. The second one is located in the building of the Association in New Rawda (Beirut) which is a crowded popular area. Both dispensaries are called the “Dispensary of the Resurrection”. Many of our friend doctors of different qualifications and nurses are ready to serve for a low and nominal price the sick people. Both dispensaries, in addition to the medical and dental care, are providing social assistance and social care.
We, as members of the Association, are trying to continue the Mission after the death of the founder Father Joseph Hallit. We hope to be able to get free medicines and the necessary equipment. In our dispensaries, there are these specializations: Dentistry, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Nutrition Specialty, Cardiology, Gynecology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Speech-Language Pathology, Otolaryngology and Physiotherapy.
