The Association of the Resurrection was founded during the Lebanese Civil War and officially recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior (Decree N. 67/A.D – June 2, 1982). Rooted in the spirit of Christ’s love and the hope of His Resurrection, the Association is dedicated to upholding and promoting human dignity through social, humanitarian, and cultural service in Lebanon. Guided by the Gospel’s call to serve the most vulnerable, the Association has two key centers:
- The Faraya Retreat Center, nestled in the mountains at 1,500 meters above sea level, was established in 1982 as a sanctuary for spiritual renewal, cultural formation, and human development. It offers retreats and training programs, particularly for young people, nurturing faith and personal growth.
- The Rawda Mission in Beirut, located in a popular district, serves as a beacon of Christian charity. It includes a home for university girls, providing them with a safe and nurturing environment, and a social assistance office (Bureau Social), which extends Christ’s mercy to the needy, offering urgent aid to struggling families in the area.
Through its mission, the Association of the Resurrection continues to be a living testimony to the power of faith, hope, and love, bringing light to those in need and working toward a more just and compassionate society.
